FrontPage search engine

The FrontPage Search engine will perform Boolean searches with the following operators: AND, OR, NOT.  It will not permit you to search for phrases, but it can find strings of numbers or any character strings that do not contain spaces. (See Boolean Search Operators if you have not yet used Boolean searches.)

Although it does have limitations, the great advantage of the FrontPage search engine is that it can find any terms right after the web pages containing them have been posted, while Internet search engines take up to several weeks before they get around to index newly posted data.

Note (2006-11-01): At times the FrontPage search feature is not working too well during the day, when traffic density on the Internet is highest. That has been a problem now and then for a few days.
    That is not so much caused by FrontPage as it is by processing-speed problems that the host server (1and1.com) for this website appears to be unable or slow to solve.
    Due to its nature, the problem is not easy to investigate.  At times the upload data transfer rate is extremely low, even though the Internet connection speed for data uploads during such slow periods permits data transfer rates in the order of 408 kbs. 
    The FrontPage search feature being inoperable appears to be the only manifestation of the host server problems that occur during busy times of the day.  The speed at which web pages at Fathers for Life are being loaded for viewing with your browser is being controlled by the connection speed of your internet-access connection.

If you experience problems with the FrontPage search feature at this website and wish to find information specifically in Dale's web pages, make a site-specific search at Dale's web pages by means of an Internet search engine.
    For that, if for example you wish to see a list of all web pages at this site that contain the word "homosexuality" + "hard-wired", specify your search terms as per the following character string.

See the results of that search.  Use the search window shown at the top of that web page to modify the first part of that search string as required to fit your information request.

By entering "fathersforlife.org" (without the quotation marks) in the domain-filter entry field on the advanced search entry form, and by entering key words or phrases into the other input fields as required, you will be able to find specific pages at the website of Fathers for Life that contain the information you seek.  Make sure you identify the depth at which you want the site to be searched (click on the radio button and enter a 5 in the "Page Depth" field).

The drawback is that HotBot indexes the website of Fathers for Life only at intervals spaced a few weeks apart and not every time a page is updated. 

The advantage over more popular search engines, such as google.com, is that HotBot will provide far more consistent results on every search of our website.
