Any pro-family activist, anyone who even in the least agrees with the preceding statements and would like to come to understand the often covert but at best barely hidden hostility of feminists against families or trace the causes of the escalating planned destruction the traditional nuclear family, check:
The Gender Agenda, by Dale O'Leary, a book that explains the sinister strategy firmly rooted in communist ideology for the destruction of our families and the role that the U.N. and the seemingly innocent word gender play in it.
The Gender Agenda is a book that chronicles the successful efforts of radical extremist feminists in using various U.N. conventions to further their insidious agenda: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Cairo, Egypt, and Beijing, China.
Not covered in the book are Human Habitat II, at Istanbul, Turkey, and the discussions in Rome, Italy, relating to the International Criminal Court both very much targets, too, of the destructive and sinister gender agenda of radical feminists (more accurately called redfems).

From the essay:
|Women are among the principal
beneficiaries of the increased respect for human rights. Today, only a very few
countries deny women the right to vote, the right to pursue education, or the right to
work outside the home in a profession of choice. The cause of women's rights,
however, and all the good will associated with it, is now being exploited by radical
feminists, whose interests do not include the true well-being of women. Instead,
radical feminists focus on a "gender agenda"
which violates the Declaration's vision for women, family, and human dignity.
This gender agenda is primarily about pretending there are no differences between men and women, and destroying the family as we know it. Radical feminists want to re-interpret the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to include this agenda and thereby force it upon people around the world. Indeed, Mary Robinson, the new High Commissioner for Human Rights and the former President of Ireland, has suggested that certain "values," including the "complexities" of "gender" and "sexual orientation," are implied in the Universal Declaration. There is no need, therefore, to make a new declaration to recognize these values: Reinterpretation of the original will suffice. Thus it is that the Declaration has become a political tool for those in power at the UN, rather than a statement of ideals to be shared by all the world.
This essay is an attempt to explain how this state of affairs came to pass and how those of us who care about motherhood and the family can do something about it.

From Marxism to Feminism: The planned destruction of the American family
Statement of Bill Wood
FC-8 Hearing on Waste, Fraud, and Abuse July 17, 2003
TESTIMONY FOR THE [US] WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE
The planned destruction of the family was part of the communist agenda from its inception by Karl Marx and Frederic Engels. It became government policy in the USSR in about 1917. It was so successful in the USSR that it threatened to destroy society in the USSR. Curiously, while in the 1940s the USSR took steps to repair the damages its family-hostile policies had caused, American communists imported the Soviet agenda for the planned destruction of the family into the USA. It has been and continues to be promoted by left-leaning liberals in the West ever since.

...The Arabs were suggesting that a reference to "gender" in the proposed founding statute of the ICC ought to be reconsidered. But the Canadians and the Costa Rican were having none of it.
Then, of course, there is the Canadian-led bid to make the ICC a tool of radical-feminist and homosexual activists. So strident were Canada's efforts in this regard that many delegates left Rome profoundly embittered. "He will see in the future," commented one of the Arabs berated by Mr. Piragoff. "That's not a diplomatic way to behave. It's impolite. It's childish."
But of course, it won't end there. Canada's radical extremist heterophobes with the active support of their federal government will continue to cajole and coerce individual UN member nations into ratifying the statutes of the International Criminal Court. One by one these nations will be forced to comply until the ultimate goal of an ICC dominated by heterophobic and family-hostile activists is a reality. (2005 01 22: The ICC has now been reality for some time. Along with that has also come an escaltion of the corruption at the UN.)
