Advice to Men

In Memory of Allen Wells

This set of web pages for Allen Wells has been recreated from web pages archived at http://web.archive.org

Key Page

Allen Wells - Battered Husband - Divorce - Suicide

Allen Wells was an abused husband. He posted frequently to soc.men. Through his divorce, the judge didn't believe (or at least didn't act upon) his accounts of being battered. His ex got custody and kept him apart from his children.

He killed himself.

This directory captures some of his story.

This directory contains some of the more recent postings written by the late Allen Wells. They were collected by Charleen Bunjiovianna Stoner charleen@ads.com.

Some of his posts are primarily about his situation.

Others discuss current issues from his particular standpoint Another collection of his posts surfaced in 1995:

More info by and about Allen Wells (Off-site, in Web Archive)

And others turn up from time to time :

Some were written by others, later.
David Veatch's Wolf's Den has an article on husband abuse in Alan Wells' memory.

Men's Issues Page

David R. Throop's Men's Issues opus, not updated since 1996, is still a treasure trove of information. With the encouragement from men around the world to keep it alive, MenWeb has volunteered to maintain it. We will not update information. There is more current information on MenWeb and the other excellent men's issues sites out there. We will, however, update information on individuals, groups and organizations and remove information which is no longer valid.
